Hi, I'm 1

Today is my birthday. Though, I can't really understand much beyond the importance of playing with my toys, I guess this is a big deal - because I hear Mommy and Daddy talking about "how much he's changed" or "rememebering that day so vividly."

Well, I don't know all about that but I do know I love mashed nanners...wait, where was I? Oh yeah, my birthday. As with other important milestones in life, it seems to me like a good time to take stock, so I thought it best to detail what I've learned and/or accomlished in the last 365 days.

• Accomplished: rolling over, sitting up, crawling, walking, and even running away from Mommy and Daddy.
• Learned: These things are best done WITH a diaper on (this lesson from a particularly messy episode in June).

• Accomplished: verbal communication.
• Learned: I can convey a lot with a well-placed "Ma Ma" or "Da Da" (and I think the latter will actually get me ice cream in the near future).

• Accomplised: getting the family on a schedule.
• Learned: it is my schedule that matters. (And, in my world, schedule = whim).

• Accomplished: opening cabinets, drawers, closets, and even some doors.
• Learned: it's really fun to drag out all contents (Mommy tends to laugh, Daddy tends not to).

• Accomplished: eating real food.
• Learned: smearing on myself and in my hair first can enhance flavor.

• Accomplished: becoming the most loved person in the house.
• Learned: it wasn't that hard.

Anyway...just wanted to say "Hi."
